• Fabric: Chair covers typically feature spandex, fitted linen, lycra and lycra-free flow as material, all of which help ensure a good fit. Sashes come in a wider variety of fabrics such as satin, l’amour, organza and damask taffeta. Spandex bands, meanwhile, are often used in combination with spandex chair covers.

Organza and satin continue to be the more popular choices when it comes to chair sashes. Organza is a mesh-like material that is commonly used in weddings, while satin (or poly satin) has a certain silky-smooth sheen that instantly makes it look luxurious.Organza comes in a variety of colors, so it’s an easy pick for special or fancy occasions. Satin is easier to work with than organza — particularly in the tying and securing department.
